Welcome, Linky, and Blogger question

Hello everyone,

If you are a new follower (I have many recent followers from the K-2 linky party) I'd like to take this opportunity to say WELCOME! I hope you enjoy reading my blog and I hope you will be leaving me some comments once in a while.
Comments sure make me SMILE :o)

I thought I'd offer you a FREEBIE as a welcome gift. For those of you who have been following me for some time, take it as a thanks-for-sticking-around gift! Hehe!
This word web activity is part of my new Spring Unit (Part 2). I'll be posting it this weekend. It will include games and activities for Earth Day, Plants, and Weather! I usually stick to creating literacy activities but this time I made some math and science stuff too!!

I am joining another linky party today. This one is hosted by Michelle at Teach 123.
We are sharing tips for new teachers. Here is mine:
Let me explain... I often speak to new teachers (first or second year) and find that they are very hesitant to ask for help or advice. They seem to think that their colleagues will think that they are not capable of figuring things out for themselves. I don't see it that way at all! If someone has the courage to ask an experienced teacher for advice, it shows that she does not think the world of herself and knows that we all have room for growth :o)

I was wondering if someone could help me out with a little Blogger question that I have... I would like to be able to reply to comments directly on my blog instead of by email but ever since I changed my blog design I don't have the little reply button at the bottom of every comment. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Bye for now,

your photo name

  1. Hi Valerie,
Your comment button is on there now, so I'm guessing you fixed the problem. If not, another way you can get to the comment section is on the the "edit post" page. There is a column that lists how many comments you received for each post. Click on a post that has received comments and it should take you to the comment page.

Thanks for joining my Teaching Tips Linky Party. I made a Pinterest Board called Teaching Tips and added your tip. You can check it out here: http://pinterest.com/teach123school/teaching-tips/

  2. Just found your blog (not from the linky), and I am your newest follower!!

  7. Hi Valerie! I am a blind pre-k teacher, but I've also taught kindergarten. In fact, next year I'm returning to kindergarten. If you have time, I would love for you to come and check out my blog. And by the way, I loved your Teacher Tip! I have been a mentor teacher for many years, and it seems that new teachers are fearful to ask for help because they think that the more mature teachers might look down on them in some way.

  9. Hey girl! I love your blog and all your tips... I too have so many questions when it comes to blogging... especially like when I leave a comment... how do I do the automatic signature instead of typing out the web address... I can't find it anywhere... I feel so silly when it comes to this, but hopefully if I get better, I will be able to create and help other teachers out there!!! Thanks for finding me on the linking party!!
