Read/Write The Room FREEBIE

I have a freebie for everyone today!

It's a read/write the room game. I just love these! I have so much fun watching my students walk around the room looking for words. They take lots of pride in finding all the cards and recording their words :)

This game has a school theme so it's perfect for these first weeks. I'll be laminating the cards so that they can be used as flashcards for those students who need more practice with their letter sounds.

A-Z Book - An Alphabet Literacy Activity

I've been busy printing out my ABC Centers for the beginning of the year and decided that I was missing a little something. I wanted one more little activity for my ABC centers so I decided to create a mini book. I just LOVE mini books! Hehehe!

This is going to be great for practicing beginning letter sounds and recognition.
For each letter of the alphabet, students will color letters, practice printing, and cut & paste a picture with the beginning sound.

This mini book is easy to put together because it has a nice little space for staples so they don't get in the way :)

All About Me Book

Do you start the year by getting your students to talk about themselves? All About Me themes always seem to be quite popular at the beginning of the year. Students love to share what they did over the summer and enjoy telling their new friends about themselves. It's a great way for them to create new friendships!

I created a cute little "All About Me" book for my students. It's something that I plan on using in the first weeks of school.

This book is perfect for my Firsties because it doesn't involve too much writing. Students fill out the pages by writing a few words here and there and complete it by illustrating each page.

It makes a nice keepsake to bring home at the end of the year too! I plan on keeping them and sending them home on the last day. My students will be amazed to see how much their printing and drawing has improved!

If you would like to get your own "All About Me Book",

Did you know that there will be a BIG Back To School Sale this weekend at TPT??? Many TPT stores will be offering up to 28% off (including mine!).
I'll be filling up my wishlist during the week to make my shopping easier on Sunday ;)
